This policy explains what the Specced website collects, why we use it, and how to contact us about it.
What you share with us
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address and a securely hashed password. Your profile can also include a photo, bio and phone number. Vehicle details, saved builds, quote requests, support messages and newsletter choices are stored when you submit them.
What we use it for
We use your information to operate your account, review a sourcing request, prepare a quote, respond to support requests and maintain the site. Newsletter details are collected only with your consent. Submitting a quote or support request does not automatically sign you up for marketing.
Where information is stored
The site runs on Vercel and uses a Neon PostgreSQL database configured in Sydney. These providers process information to operate the service; their global infrastructure may process technical logs elsewhere. Account passwords are hashed. Session identifiers are held in secure, HTTP-only cookies in production. Private customer and operator records require authentication.
Cookies and your device
We use essential session cookies for sign-in. Your selected vehicle and build basket are also saved in your browser’s local storage so they remain when you return on that device. Clearing browser storage removes those local preferences. This version does not use advertising trackers.
Access, corrections and removal
You can edit profile details in your account. To ask for access to other personal information, request a correction, close an account or withdraw newsletter consent, open a support request. We retain information needed to respond to requests, operate the service and meet applicable record-keeping obligations.

Use the support page for privacy questions or requests. Please provide enough information to identify the relevant account or request, but never send your password or payment card details.
